Dearest Mistress and Charlie have been very busy planting out Salvia, to flower through the late summer days. Meanwhile, I have been feeling the heat and taking my ease in the shade!
Dearest and Charlie were discussing plantsmanship. I overheard Mistress say that plantsmanship is the appreciation of plants for their own sake, appreciation of their form, elegance and leaf, rather than just the size and brightness of their flowers. They said that the aesthetics of plants are very important and that the metaphysical side of the garden was equally important.
Lying under a bush, I slept and dreamed that life was beauty. I awoke and found that life was duty!
