On a stone, set in a path in our garden is written: “Friendship outstays the hurrying flight of years and aye abides through laughter and through tears”
At long last with the fear of frost hopefully past, all the succulents from their winter home in the greenhouse, have been set out in the pool garden.
Dearest has brought three spikey Agaves which have been put in pots in the spike garden. All Agaves are native of the warmer parts of America and need winter protection. Some Agave take 30-40 years before they flower. Mistress says that Mexico’s national drink ‘Pulque’ is made from Agaves, but added she had never tasted it.
Oh dear, us gardening Pekingese have much to learn – Mistress always says “Every day is a school day” and that to love and to labour is the “Sum of life”.
